Average Rating: Rating: - A GOOD BOOK... I had read the reviews posted on the board and was curious about the last "50 pages." This was mentioned quite frequently in several of the reviews. I have read the book and the book is quite good. Most of the reviewers are right because I thought the book should have ended before the hero made his rounds to this mistress leading to a misunderstanding. This happens way too often in the historical romances--mistresses have become an all too common plot or twist for a novel. I liked the heroine very much - she's a typical country miss with losts of spirit and just the match for the hero. I recommend the book. Rating: - A nice, lovely read. This book, the last of the series (Splendid, Dancing at Midnight), is an enjoyable read. Dunford and Henry (Henrietta) are wonderful together. I totally agree with some of the reviewers that the last 50 pages could have been skipped. I thought that the character of Hen, rather innocent from the start, turned out quite differently at the end of the book. The friends of Dunford are funny and entertaining. Minx is a nice, lovely read but is not as good as Splendid, but still a MUST read. Rating: - Pleasantly Good This book is a good read for those who loves to enojy humorous moments. I ejoyed it through the end, even though the last 50 pages or so wasn't necessary. It was a little trite like every other kind of novel, but interesting nonetheless. The heroine did become a little annyoing near the end, but I love her spirit, and as well as the hero's intelligents in admitting he loves her, and not stubboringly waiting till the very end of the novel to tell the heroine so.
