Heart-rendering, touching, amazing, sad, great, amazing....there isn't much more that I can say about this book. I first saw the story of Anne Frank on tv and immediately knew I had to have the book. I read the book, or, her diary, and was awed at a few things.(Well, the whole thing, but the things that stood out in my mind were...)1) The movie was a very fitting tribute to Anne and I was very happy that they stayed so close to the book. 2) I got to have a first-hand look at a girl who was living in the time of the Holocaust. I was so awesome to read accounts of things that endangered her and her family, the way she descibed The Secret Annenex and the people that lived with them. 3) It was really awesome to read this diary that had been written by a fourteen-year-old who spoke and wrote with words beyond her years. I was saddened by the fact that she never had a girlfriend in all those years in the Secret Annenex.(I very much wanted to give her a hug and tell her things were all right.) As I read some of the things that she wrote I almost felt ashamed that I should be reading something that was so prized a possesion to Anne: her only friend. 4) This is not your ordinary book. This is a diary. A diary written by a very talented and troubled girl with words that come straight from the heart. A diary that will tell you a lot about the times that she lived in. A diary that will change the whole perspective of how you look at life. And lastly 5) Anne Frank's Diary made my thankfulness, for everything I have been blessed with, stronger. I am so thankful that I didn't and don't have to live in that fear-filled world that Anne lived in. I am so thankful for everything that I have. A family, a home...freedom. That is something that should never be taken litely. And I thank God for it every day. Anne Frank's Diary is, like I said, an awesome and amazing book. If you ever...EVER get the chance to read it, DON'T back out! A great true story of a young girl's undieing and unbreakable spirit!
Rating: - Anne Frank, an unfortunate story to get the point across
The story of Anne Frank is a story of a young Jewish girl caught up in the turmoil of the Holocaust in the early 1940's. The book is a translation of Anne's diary of the years during this horrible time. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl tells a vivid story of a Jewish family and their trials and hardships. Anne Frank begins her diary once she receives it for her birthday. She is an ordinary girl living in Frankfort during the 1940's. As she describes it, she has a loving, caring family, great friends, and many admiring boy friends. Her life is turned upside down one day, however, when her ad her family are forced to leave their happy lives and go into hiding. Anne is very talkative and cheerful. She always tries to look on the bright side, no matter how gloomy it may seem. When a person thinks of the Holocaust, they normally think of a time of hardships and suffering. Although this is the case with the Frank family, they lived very comfortably compared to other Jews. They share a hidden house with four other people, called the "Secret Annex." Their house has three floors, so it is fairly roomy considering their situation. The translation of Anne's diary is very accurate and well done. Her entries are very imaginative and give vivid descriptions of everyday life for the Jewish refugees during the Holocaust. The story also shows the Holocaust from a child's point of view and has excellent stories of love and injustice, among other themes. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl is an excellent book for people of all ages, and should be thoroughly appreciated by every religion for all of the suffering the Jews endured during this time.

Anne Franks Diary:The diary of a young girlAnne Franks Diary is a remarkable book. Written by a young girl in a time of trouble and terror, she writes what she feels, and what is happening around her, in first person. Anne Franks Diary, is an autobiography of her short life. This book takes readers back to the time of power, greed and expresses what life was like. Also known as the Great Depression. This book is what the world lived through and how this war impacted human beings, of all sorts. I enjoyed this book because of the high intensity of how this young girl felt. She suffered day on end to survive, with family and friends holding on with her. " Leave me in peace, let me sleep one night at least without my pillow being wet with my tears, my eyes burning and my head throbbing. Let me get away from it all, preferably away from the world." This quote explains the suffering Anne Frank went threw to survive in this hard time. The reason why I liked this book is because of the honest opinions honest thoughts and feelings. For people that enjoy historical events and the detail be hide them you will enjoy this book like me. The quotes that really come from the inner sprit of Anne Frank, can get to you, with a few powerful feelings, and words. "A voice sobs within me: There you are, That's what's become of you: you're uncharitable, you look supercilious and peevish, people dislike you and all because you won't listen to the advice given to you by your own better half." I personally like this quote because it explains how Anne changes she becomes more grown up and more marcher. I found that I really endured this book because of the reality to her life and thoughts. I also found that the sad times or the touching moments really are what put the book together. Some other quotes that make this book what it is, are these, "I hope I shall be able to confide in you completely, as I have never been able to do before, and I hope that you will be a great support and comfort to me." "I started by being snappy, than unhappy, and finally I twist my heart round again, so that the bad is on the outside and the good is on the inside and keep on trying to find a way of becoming what I would so like to be, and what I could be, If ...... there weren't any other people living in the world." I think you should read the book, Anne Frank: the Diary of a Young Girl. Enjoy reading.
