Average Rating: Rating: - 5 stars again? This is the best game ever. Better graphics than any game on PS2 or Gamecube combined. The graphics programs of this game would blow up a ps2 Rating: - One of the Best Halo is by far the best first person shooter out there. Halo is one of the most fluid games I have ever seen, the loading times are almost instantaneous and are just a flicker of the screen during the level. The game developers paid much attention to detail (individual blades of grass and bark on trees). The graphics are truly breath taking. The developers made the controls very easy to learn and resemble that of TIMESPLITTERS for the PS2, the left joystick for moving forward and the right for looking around. The levels are huge and the enemies are ruthless, with wide open areas to explore, this game leaves you with a tremendous amount of replay value. Once you're done with this game you are just dying to see if you can handle the game on the hard difficulty setting. The AI is truly amazing, you would think you were playing a huge game of multiplayer with your buddies on your side. They talk to you and even swear at you when you shoot them. Now on to the story, the most immersive story in any first person shooter. At first, the story starts out slow, but you are in for a major surprise at about the sixth level. Now the multiplayer, there are so many multiplayer modes to explore, with literally over a dozen modes, this multiplayer experience will leave you with hours upon hours of fun. The vehicles in this game are amazing and so are ther weapons. With all of that out of the way, I am telling you that XBOX is probably the best console on the market as long as you give it a chance and get over all of your Microsoft gripes. Halo is a must-buy. A killer app. Rating: - Extremely Fun! Yes, I gotta admit.. I'm a huge Doom, Goldeneye, and Half-Life fan. Just don't let that distract you from buying this masterpiece if you aren't into either one of those games. I never thought I'd be saying this, but this game beats all of them in terms of story, graphics, and fun. The graphics are freakin awesome. Everything looks the way it should, and it doesn't slow down no matter how many enemies are on the screen. I did notice slowdown when you are in a huge area swarming with trees, enemies, and vehicles; but not enough to make it unplayable. If you enjoyed the storylines from the above mentioned games (well, except Doom of course), then you'll love this game. It's very interesting, making you curious throughout the game (oh yeah, beat the game on legendary, and you're in for a funny ending!). The enemy AI is top notch. They pretty much think for themselves, whether they are hiding behind rocks, or waiting to regroup. I especially love the small grunts, which make funny comments throughout the game ("We're gonna die!"). The multiplayer mode is also awesome, as it allows you to have up to 16 people play at the same time (too bad you'll need multiple Xbox's in order to play with more than 4 people). If you don't like a specific senario type, you can customize it, adjust the type of game (there is a race type game!), to the number of kills. A problem I found was that there are no bots to play against. Oh well, I guess it's because they had no time to put them in. All in all, I had so much fun with this game. After completing the game, I found myself doing stupid things like playing a game of chicken with the jeep in multiplayer, to finding new ways to kill enemies, etc. It never ends! At least rent the game, you'll love it! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention.. the sound and music is awesome too!
