Average Rating: Rating: - Easy to use, a productive timesaver and fun! Though I purchased this elsewhere, I wanted to give a big "thumbs up" to Amazon customers considering getting a multifunction printer/copier/scannner/fax machine such as this. The speed and high quality printing, copies and scans have been a real plus. Set-up was a breeze--as a scanner, it is almost effortless with abundant options for modifying scans, etc. What sold me on this was being able to load my SONY handicam's media stick, print out a sheet of thumbnail images, pick which ones I wanted to print, etc. Many photo printing options--for example, one can print out single or multiple images on the same sheet, fitting a variety of combinations (e.g., 2 4x6 plus several wallet, 8x10, 9 wallet, plus custom sizing). If you love to scan photos or take digital ones for custom printing, you will enjoy this. Color and black-and-white copying is photo-quality and best of all, the machine is quiet--great for doing work late at night! Plus, you can use the copy or fax functions without bothering starting up your PC (unlike some scanners with a "copy" function). The only negatives have been 1.) the lack of an included USB cable ( ~ $5-$35, depending on size, where you shop, etc.) and 2.) I'm spending too much time playing with it! Rating: - Wonderful, especially at this price I am absolutely thrilled with this printer to date. I ran photos from my digital camera on photo paper and they came out great. I copied color documents and the results were stunning. But, the function that really took me by surprise was the fax machine. When I set ity up, it asked if it was on the same line as an answering machine. In Fact, it was, but the answering machine is in another section of the house. Nevertheless, it allows the answering machine to pick up and if the incoming call makes fax noises it intercepts the fax. Maybe this is common, but its the first time I've seen it without having the two machines in serial. I am impressed. You proibably can do better, but not at this price. Rating: - Hewlett Packard PSC 950 Well now that I've had my new 950 for about a week now I can tell you that it is everything that I expected and more . I had no trouble it setting it up . I did everything that the instructions told me to do. Eazy as 1 2 3. I have run everything that it will do. I have scanned, copied, printed text(this is fast), Printed envelopes, made a Greeting card, I took my memory stick from my Sony camera and printed color pictures (this was fast and the color was excellent), I ran a fax and had one sent to me (this was alsome.) I recomend this very highley. No where could anybody touch the low price Amazon.com had on this HP psc-950 printer.
