Average Rating: Rating: - Quick and easy This is my first sewing machine. I've very little experience in sewing, but in no time I can operate it. I've been looking for a simple-to-use machine and found something.... Threading a bobbin is also simple. The instruction booklet is easy to fellow and comes with a lot pictures. It's construction is quite solid. The delivery service is great! It arrived at least a week earlier than the expected delivery date. Rating: - Solid Machine and Easy to Use This college girl finally has her own sewing machine! This machine is solid and sturdy in build and comes with alot of accessories (various presser feet, bobbins, etc.) I am impressed at how easy it is to wind a bobbin, set a stitch pattern, and get to sewing. There are a few features which are quite cool - one being the easy threading function for threading the needle. It takes a couple tries to get used to it, but now I've vowed never to spend 5 minutes licking the end of the thread and jamming the thread into the tiny needle eye. I also like how all the stitch patterns are mapped out across the front of the machine instead of only on the dial. This is much better than rotating the dial back and forth trying to find the stitching pattern that you want. Overall, the designers had us in mind when they built this machine. Also, after reading the manual, I feel like I'm much better educated knowing how each presser foot and stitch can be used. I'm completely satisfied with this purchase! Rating: - Great I was initially afraid of this machine because it does not have a drop-in bobbin. I remember fighting with bobbins in home ec and didn't want to get frustrated with sewing because of a wimpy little ball of thread. However, the instructions are very simple and thorough. There are many decorative stitches included, but not so many "special features" that the machine becomes to complicated to even use for everyday stitching. My only complaint is that I still have yet to find the thread cutter that's supposedly in the back of my presser foot. My model also included a coupon for three free patterns, which I could chose online. Very convienent!
