Average Rating: Rating: - A Fine Filter, Easy to Use I own the Hamilton Beach humidifier and have to purchase these from time to time. They last about two or three weeks, and I have the humidifier going constantly. They are very easy to replace - just lift the unit up and drop it in (after taking out the old soggy one first). Not only do these filter the air, they draw the water up out of the pan in the bottom of the unit so can be transferred to the air moving through. If you leave it in too long it will begin to smell, like anything you leave in water too long. I buy four or five at once, so I always have one on hand. Rating: - Good Filter I bought my humidifier early this winter to reduce the static electricity and my nosebleeds from dry winter air. I only run it at night when I'm home, but it does a great job keeping the air moist without making it feel muggy. I figured since I run it about 12 hours a day, I should change the filter after the first couple of months (based on the other reviews). I was pleasantly surprised to find that the filter still looked almost new! I'll check it monthly just in case, but so far, so good -- no discoloration, odor, or problems. It may help that we have a filter on our household water system -- if your incoming water is dirty, your humidifier filter is catching everything that your sinks, tubs, etc., are not (ick). Rating: - Bad filter I got my humidifier a week ago. And my filter already changed his color to yellow. Plus adds some bad odor to the air coming from humidifier. So be ready to get a couple of this filters if you using humidifier a lot
