Average Rating: Rating: - Great little camera! What impresses me the most about this camera is that it takes really nice pictures. I purchased it recently and took a test roll (Kodak 200 speed film) without reading the manual. I took some in the bright sunny outdoors, some in dimly lit restaurants, some at night in my apartment with poor lighting, and some in the near dark. And all the pictures came out with the subject(s) in beautiful focus, and crystal clear. The only small problem was some of my apartment pictures had a little bit of red-eye, but this camera does have red-eye reduction, and I will be sure to read the manual about how to use it. In addition, it's a great travel camera -- it's very compact, and fairly sturdy. I packed it in a full back pack (without a case) and also took it to an amusement park on a recent trip and found that it was light enough in my purse to carry around all day, and did not mind being jolted. All in all, I'm extremely happy with this purchase both quality and price-wise. I would offer one tip I've learned -- the timer function does not turn itself off after a picture, so be careful when you snap the next one -- you might still be on the timer! Rating: - Great things come in little packages!! I have shot one roll of Fuji 400 film through this camera so far and couldn't be happier. I previously tried the Canon Sure Shot 85 and Minolta Explorer with poor to fair results. After reading reviews here and elsewhere I decided to give this camera a try. Am I ever glad I did! It has passive focus, date, panoramic, spot focus...so many of the options I wanted. It is very small in size, all options are easy to set, and best of all the pictures were clear, color vivid, and flash adequate. All pics from the 24 exp roll were keepers. The red eye reduction worked well for every picture it was used on. Pentax rates well in reliability according to Consumer Report so plan to enjoy this camera for some time to come. Rating: - Still love this camera!! I wrote a review last summer on this camera, saying how great it was after one roll of film. One year later I still love it!! The pictures are still sharp as a tack, with flash or without. I have gone on to try Kodak and Fuji 200 and 400 film in the camera with wonderful results from all. It is a very small camera so it's easy to put in a purse and take everywhere with you. It has the date feature on it. You can have that deleted but the numbers are very small in the lower right hand corner of the pictures. They are big enough to read but small enough to not notice otherwise. The only thing that could possibly make this a greater value is if it came with a case and remote. It does not but is still definitely worth the little extra you pay compared to other p&s cameras.
