Average Rating: Rating: - AALIYAHS' FINAL MASTERPIECE Aaliyah's newest and ( unfortunately ) final CD is the best I've heard from her. She declares her independence, her rights and freedom as a woman. Move over Alica Keys ( I like you a lot too...but I love Aaliyah). She mixes soothings sounds of soul, funk, R&B , and a surprising twist of rock. This CD may not appeal to all, especially those who are expecting the amazing beats produced in her previous songs including the smash hit " Are YOu That Somebody ? " or " Try Again !", none the less.......this is one amazing CD. It's got a song for every mood and sound for every flavor. Any fan of Aaliyah should appreciate this collection of songs. This CD is truly remarkable. I'd give it an 11, but I can only choose 5 stars. Aaliyah definitely grew up, and this CD shows just how much. Rating: - Aaliyah truely was one in a million!! It's hard to beleive that it has been over a year since Aaliyah died in a plane crash. The talent that Aaliyah had was unbelieveable, and this album demonstrates this. Aaliyah's vocals on this album are stronger and the tone of the album shows how much she has grown as an artist and a woman. Every song on this cd is worth checking out, but the songs that stand out the most are We Need A Resolution, Rock The Boat, More Than A Woman, I Care 4 U, and I Refuse. Along with this edition of "Aaliyah" you get a DVD which includes and introduction from Aaliyah in which she gives her appreciation for her fans as well as lets them know that she is back. The DVD also includes several of Aaliyah's favorite videos that she has made through out the corse of her career including One In A Million, Are You That Somebody, Try Again, and We Need A Resolution. If you want to see and hear a real angel sing, buy this cd. I miss you babygirl!!! Rating: - Best Of The Best I thnik that Aaliyah's Self-titled album could be called on of her best. The whole CD is good and with some tracks laced with Tim's beats, they have good bass in them. Here's a whole list of what i think of all the tracks: 1. We need a Resolution-too crunk!! 2. Loose rap-i like the way she talks about guys that can't get a gurl 3. Rock the boat- this song shows off Aaliyah's naughty side 4. More than a woman- if you haven't heard it, yuo're a loser 5. Never no more-i think that this song shows off her singing abilities really well 6. I care 4 you- even though this song is a good 5 years old, it sounds like it belongs in 2K2 7.Extra Smooth-its not the best song on the CD, but still bangin' 8. read between the lines-this song has a south of the border fell, you'll still lik it 9. U got nerve-this nothin but a kiss off song 10.I refuse- one of my fav songs 11. It's whatever- this is my favorite song!! it has a chill out beat to it 12.i can be- this song has a r&b/rock feel. you hear more beats than vocals 13. Those were the days- aaliyah and her boyfriend don't do anything in this song 14. What if- my other favorite. it sound similar to track 12, but Baby Gurl is mad as hell at somebody for cheatin. Overall buy the CD. NOt just 'cause its buy aaliyah, 'cause the tracks are all off the rip and its buy aaliyah:) So go out and get it. it worth more than the money your gonna pay for it. R.I.P.
