Average Rating: Rating: - An Amazing Young Talent I heard Marc Anthony for the first time about 4 months ago(I lead a sheltered life) and I was literally blown away by "My Baby You" and "When I Dream At Night". Those two songs, especially, pack so much raw emotion that I found myself in tears listening to the sheer power of his lyrics(which incidentally, he wrote)! Now, I can't seem to get the C.D. off my player-there's no room for even Santana anymore! His other renditions including "Dimelo" and "Da La Vuelta" are truly inspired even though it helps to be bilingual but, not entirely necessary. The music and the message is universal and his presentation is pure genius. I went to see him in concert here in San Antonio and it was the best I have ever witnessed-his band is awesome! Buy this C.D.-just be prepared to have your heart pierced(corazon espinado) and have plenty of tissues at hand. Rating: - CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF MARC ANTHONY! I first heard of Marc when I saw him last Christmas on the Rosie O'Donnel(?) Christmas special. He sang "I need to know", and I was IN LOVE! The next day I rushed out and bought his Marc Anthony cd. I must say that at first I was disappointed (I didn't know it was his cross-over album and was disappointed in the lack of latin songs). I also admit I thought the english speaking ballads were a bit drippy. But, within the next few days I had in my possession all of the cd's he ever did. I can see a real change in his music from his first cd, but the more I listen, the more I appreciate EVERY SINGLE SONG! I have never heard anyone sing with such emotion, and now that I am in luv I know he's singing every song to me!(sorry girls). After I saw his HBO concert where he was singing his song, My Baby You, right to his little girl and I watched him break down with emotion, I was REALLY hooked. Marc is a very unique talent; he's not a Frank Sinatra knock-off, or (thank God) Ricky Martin. I have only been a fan of his for a short time, but I can't get enough of his music and I am a die-hard fan. I COULD LISTEN TO THIS GUY SING THE YELLOW-PAGES, and I love all of his cd's equally; I listen to all 5 of them over and over whenever I can (my husband think's I've gone off the deep-end! He doesn't know Marc and I are running off together). If you are a true Marc Anthony fan, and I think that's the only kind of fan he has), then this cd will just be another gem to add to the collection. Can't wait to hear the next one! If anyone knows if he'll ever be in concert in this neck of the woods, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Rating: - Marc Anthony is an AMAZING talent I recently bought Marc Anthony's first English language CD for several reasons. Because of his huge hit "I Need To Know" which is a wonderful latin pop song. Secondly due to Marc's beautiful and moving "No Me Ames" duet with Jennifer Lopez on her debut CD, then there's Marc's magnificent performance at this years Grammys. The CD rocks for anyone who hasn't heard it. Marc's voice is one of the best male pop voices since George Micheal. With songs like "No One", "Am I The Only One" and "My Baby You", Marc manages to bring a ethereal, almost celestial aura to the tunes and make them sound perfect. Marc is also an actor and he uses that talent in his songs on this CD. On the spanish version of "Dimelo (I Need To Know)" he brings a new view to the song as if it were another song altogether. This CD is just plain wonderful and Marc Anthony is going to be around a long time. His talent is timeless.
