Average Rating: Rating: - Not Bad This album was Bon Jovi's first in four years. While not the best album they've made, it does have a fair number of good songs. It's My Life is definately the most recognizeable song on the album, and definately one of the best. You can't help but sing along. Say it isn't so is a fun song in an almost Beatles style. It is a fair song with an exceptional Music video. Thank You For Loving Me is a good sappy song, but it's nothing too special, 'Always' and 'I'll Be there for you' are just as good if not better. Two Story Town is a fun song, not too much like any of the other songs they have. Next 100 Years is definately my favorite song on the Album, it starts out with some upbeat lyrics, and then Richie Sambora is set loose on the guitar for one of my favorite guitar solos of all time. Just Older is a good song, but it bores me after a while. Mystery Train, Save The World, She's a Mystery all have fine lyrics, but Bon Jovi has much better on other albums. I've got the Girl is a fun song, but it's not all that optomistic. One Wild Night is a great song, and a good song to close it off, one of their better rock songs. Overall, 9/10, I reccomend this album, but pick up Crossroad (best of) before you do. Rating: - A Great BonJovi Record Well just to mention that the guys are still standing tall over all the other bands.Bon Jovi has come far much experienced than ever.As it's said that the band is as good as its last record.True to their rocking spirit the guys proved that they are still the best of the best. The album starts with the true anthemic track called "It's my life" which will prove another big hit of BonJovi with their previous talkbox method for Livin' on a prayer.'Say it isn't So' is very catchy with strong lyrics which proves the writing talency of Jon."Thank you for loving me"their best ever ballad."Two story town" is the song which will make you sing along while you listen."Next 100 years " is amazing with orchestra and specially the guitar solo played by Richie at the end.He is the best."just Older"is the song Jon made at the perfect time.No doubt it will be band's signature hit ever."Mystery Train" makes you feel peaceful.It's got great music and lyrics."Save the World"is another great ballad which is gonna be a no doubt hit song."Captain crash and the beauty queen from mars" is another funky song that is lyrically and musically strong which no other band could make.Its the best track. "She's a mystery" is a great song which is so sweet that it works as a lullaby when you go to bed."I got the girl" is a swinging rock song."One wild night" is again another wild song like previous "Wild in the streets"to shake your booty and its a kind of party song.As for two bonus tracks I could live...."is good but "Neurotica" is the best heavy metal song I"ve ever heard.Well as of the album it has got the best songs perfect for the 21st century.Its no doubt that this is BonJovi's best album ever with a strong collection of all types of songs like rock,ballad,wild,sweet,and ofcourse the funky.And this time there will be more than 8 top ten hits from this album. Rating: - Just A Fun Rock N' Roll Album It had been five years since Bon Jovi released These Days and in 2000 the New Jersey boys released their first album of the new millenium, Crush. What an album it is. Mixed with terrific rock anthems and ballads, Crush can be seen as your typical Bon Jovi record which is not bad by any means. The opening track, It's My Life, is a fun song to listen to and sing along with. It is a reminder of Livin' On A Prayer with the upbeat tempo and lyrics that just ask for you to sing along. Say It Isn't So, however does not sound like a regular Bon Jovi song, but it just proves that the boys do not have to stick to their regular, recognizeable sound to have a hit single. Thank You For Loving Me is a wonderful teary eyed ballad that is very similar to their number one hit I'll Be There For You. Probably the most overlooked songs on this album are The Next 100 Years and Just Older. The Next 100 Years is an epic song with Jon Bon Jovi singing at his very best and Richie Sambora playing his best guitar riff since Dry County. Just Older is another fun song that speaks about the band growing older, but not old enough to still rock with the best of them. What I like best about Crush is that this album helped Bon Jovi gain a whole new audience. The single It's My Life was very successful and got plenty of airplay. Their last two efforts Keep The Faith and These Days both went platinum, but they never helped them gain a new audience which they craved. Crush did exactly that by going double platinum and showing that Bon Jovi still knows how to rock. During this day and age with the look alike boy bands and a slew of formulatic pop stars, it's nice to know that seasoned veterans like Boin Jovi are still around to show the popular artists of today how it's done.
