Average Rating: Rating: - Ahhh, what a pleasure to listen to Etta James The lady could sing with all her heart and soul Rating: - Hardly her best I was disappointed in this CD because it seems to be a compilation of her recordings that were clearly made for the pop market. It certainly isn't the blues that I associate with Etta James. My problem is with the title of the CD. A first-time buyer looking for a good cross-section of her music will be disappointed with this selection. Rating: - Legendary Songstress without comparison Etta James is that and so much more!She displays such a feeling of hurt and longing , and can turn around and be so joyous and raunchy.Her singing tells a story, not only of love lost but a real life story only few can match.She is the ''Queen of Soul'', not Aretha . Etta still stays true to her roots and has never '' sold out'' to popular music.Etta is such an amazing and heart wrenching performer that she must be witnessed live in concert to truly appreciate her amazing power.God bless Etta , because you sure have blessed us with your music and story.
