Average Rating: Rating: - pocket full of capsules and chocolate icecream "hit" is my 2nd favourite lips album and clearly the best production-wise. its chaotic noise-pop, like "magical mystery tour" beatles and jesus and mary chain making a album. it makes me think of disney world for some reason? "felt good to burn" sounds like listening to the beach boys on acid. "hold your head" is a triumphant pink floyd-esque song that really closes the album more than perfectly. the album is VERY psychadelic and once you've heard it, i trust you'll sell your copies of "the soft bulletin" and "yoshimi". its ok and yes, those 2 albums are ... ... Rating: - Creative Best This album is to me the most creative and expansive album the band has released to date. The album summoned up a sence of creativity that opened the door for a new and original view. From the Dream Pop to the psychedelic majority of the album, it creates a panorama effect. The album is like a kalleidescope as layers upon layers of sound make for a new listen each time. New parts throughout the mix seem to appear from the already discovered sounds. The wonderful songs, creativity and feel make this an outstanding piece. P.S.-they should drop the PA sticker... it's almost senseless to be there. Ben. the 15 year old. Rating: - This concludes the Top 5 cd's that anyone should own This album.. what can i say, from the first track to the last you are bombarded with sound that only a band that knows what they are and what the people want could create. Listening to this album makes you feel as if your in the studio helping to mix this masterpiece. Most novice music lovers know the Lips from their only hit single "She Dont Use Jelly", but let me tell you there's more than enough "Jelly" to spread accross a whole loaf of bread on this album. stop reading and buy it!
