Average Rating: Rating: - REALLY REALLY SPIFFY! I really really enjoy this album. The songs were beautiful and...well...I understand it. Genio Atrapado--Genie in a bottle remix. Falsas Esperanzas--nice. Upbeat, a favorite El Beso Del Final--o.k. I really don't like ballads that much adn this is my favorite song on the album. The music is beautiful and her voice sounds cool. Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti--kinda boring Ven Conmigo (Solamente Tu)--come on over remix Si No Te Hubiera Conocido--does this song with another spanish singer. It's nice. Contigo En La Distancia--A favorite Cuando No Es Contigo--second favorite. It's kinda upbeat and I really like the background sounds. Por Siempre Tu--I yurn to you remix Una Mujer--what a girl wants remix Mi Reflejo--reflects remix This is a definite album to get for any Christina fans. Even if you don't understand everything, I highly reccomend it. Rating: - Best Xtina CD yet!! First off, to whoever said her father was black: Her father is Ecuadorian, not black. See the name? AGUILERA. This CD is Christina's best CD yet in my opinion. I think she had a lot more musical freedom on this record, which is evident in the way she uses her voice on all of the songs. She has the vocal prowess of an R&B diva who's ability is beyond her years. Christina's voice is absolutely beautiful and this album showcases it perfectly. One great example of the power of her voice is on one of the best songs of the album, "Contigo En La Distancia". The way she sings the song is absolutely amazing. For those looking for translations from her album en inglés, there is "Genio Atrapado", "Ven Conmigo", "Por Siempre Tu", "Una Mujer", and the title track "Mi Reflejo". All the rest of the songs on the CD are original Spanish language tracks. Christina is amazing in Spanish, just as she is in English, and this album is perfect for any Christina or Latin pop lovers. It's a great mix of pop and traditional Latin flavors. Two of the album's tracks, "Genio Atrapado" and "Pero Me Acuerdo Ti" have been nominated for Latin Grammys, and of course, she received the Grammy award for Best New Artist of 99. I definitely recommend you buy this CD!! Rating: - Christina spicing up her life It's been a long battle between Aguilera and Britney Spears and although Britney may have a stronger fan base, and some would have been disappointed when Brit didn't take home the Grammy, but with this album "Mi Reflejo", we see why Christina got that Grammy. Her voice is so strong and the fact that every song is in spanish certainly proves her acclectic tastes and strong vocals. Although not all of the 11 tracks are new material, it's still a fantastic, beautiful and must own CD. "Genio Atrapado" (Genie In A Bottle), "Una Mujer" (What A Girl Wants), "Por Simepre Tu" (I Turn To You), "Ven Conmigo (Come On Over) and "Mi Reflejo" (Reflection) are all the spanish takes on her english hits. "Falsas Esparanzas" is the first sound of new material and what a sound it is. Blazing horns and trumpets and Christina certainly proving she can live la vida loca, make this up-beat latin track a winner. "El Beso Del Final" and "Contigo En La Distancia" are two of the most beautiful ballads I have ever heard. "Cuando No Es Contigo" is my absolute favourite track. Mixing pop, latin and a slight touch of r/b, this is a unique sound and always opens up a surprise. The first verse is fairly restraint and as soon as the chorus hits, the trumpets are alight and we can hear "Falsas Esparanzas" touches, after the chorus it breaks into a hot bolero dance. The remaining tracks are ballads, but heart-stopping none the less. I recommend this album to anyone who likes pop and latin and any Aguilera fan.
