Average Rating: Rating: - Love You Live I have to admit that I am perplexed by some of the reviews (including the editor's) which express disapointment that this album contains predictable material. I think these reviews miss the point. The CD aims to capture (as Michael admits during the service) the energy and passion that comes when we enter into God's presennce during an authentic worship service, and to provide a CD that can be listened to anywhere: in the car at home, etc. In this the album surpasses all expectations. From the opening scripture reading through the closing chords of More Love, More Power, the performance reaches and sustains an incredible level of energy and devotion. True, the songs are not new and the arrangements lack the raw energy of, say the Passion Praise Band or Sonic Flood, but they are powerful, respectful and worshipful. If you are looking to worship God and can't wait for next Sunday's contemporary worship service, then put this CD on, raise your hands, and prepare to enter into His presence. Rating: - Great songs, but a bit underproduced I didn't realize that this was a (mostly) live recorded CD when I had purchased from a store a few months ago. While the songs are wonderful (Above All & Let It Rain are the climax point of this CD) I can't help but to feel that it is a bit under produced in terms of sound quailty. There is a lot of ambient noise from the crowd that can be heard, some songs it really helps (Let It Rain) others, it sort of distracts. Overall, this is a great CD. Michael W. Smith has a true heart of worship and continues to glorify God with his talents on this CD. Rating: - THIS CD STANDS ON ITS OWN! Over the years Michael W. Smith has proven he is an artist! However, this CD stands on its own! Unlike his previous projects, all of the songs on "Worship" are worship songs sung directly unto God, whose presence is very much felt (at least by me). I believe God anointed everyone involved so that this CD would bring ministry and healing to those listening. Each song is beautifully recorded with a huge choir featuring Gospel/Christian artists. Even if you're not a Smitty fan, this CD is a MUST-HAVE! And, even if you're not a Christian, this CD will touch your heart. I whole-heartedly recommend it!
