Average Rating: Rating: - Artistic romantic passion which easily brings me to tears I have listened repeatedly to Andrea Bocelli's recordings and I still have emotional reactions to his voice!...Particularly Con te partiro and also Caruso. His emotionally charged recordings are forever singing in my heart and soul. I've had the pleasure of witnessing con te partiro set to the brilliantly choreographed dancing fountains at Bellagio in Las Vegas. As Bocelli is teamed with Sarah Brightman.... the nightime display is breathtaking and totally removes oneself from reality. As it is also known as "time to say goodby"...the song grabs at my heart and is overwhelming..within that setting. I cannot possibly describe the lasting effect it has had on me. The only way to recapture that experience..is to listen to this CD...and also the CD ...Live at Tuscanny...with Sarah Brightman and Zuccero. The music is from a far-away fantasy.. with an angelic and operetta sound. Bocelli's voice is on one hand..velvety & romantic and yet .. on the other hand ...it can be charged with a powerful force. The combination is awesome to say the least! FOR AN EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NOT FORGET... LISTENING TO EITHER CD..WILL TAKE YOU TO AN ELEVATED PLACE...WITHIN YOUR HEART AND SOUL! Rating: - THIS IS HOW ANGELS SING I admit, I'm not a music critic, but I am a music lover. "Romanza" remains Bocelli's masterpiece. "Con Te Partiro" is the best known track, but if you stop there, you're missing the point. Every track on this album is amazing. Bocelli has been blessed with a gift; a voice that touches the heart and soul of his listeners. Dissect it if you must, but nothing can detract from the heart-felt emotion that "Romanza" delivers. It matters not whether this is deemed pop or classical music. In fact, the dissension is a testimony to the album's wide appeal and it's mystery. I was introduced to Bocelli when he was a guest on one of Celine Dion's television specials. They sang a duet ( "The Prayer", which was later released on "Sogno"). I couldn't believe that a singer could create a glimpse of heaven. Bocelli can, with his voice and his exceptional, quite angelic delivery. I have owned this album since it's American release. It never fails to transport me to a place of wonder and peaceful serenity. No matter what mood I'm in when I push play, I'm guaranteed to have a smile on my face and a brighter outlook on my day by the middle of the first track. My advise would be to purchase the album, listen with an open heart and prepare to visit a place you've never been, but once experienced, a place you'll want to visit again and again. Rating: - Perfection Andrea Bocelli's voice is quite an enigma. He keeps the equipoise between his operatic yet pop voice in such a subtle manner it is almost worthy of a whole new genre of its own. Con te Partiro is the perfect example of this. The emotion in the song is so solid you could cut it with a knife. People say he has a thin voice and could not sing over an orchestra. I disagree. HE could easily sing over the loudest orchestra without any amplification. But less is more, and that is what he does. He draws you in, with his ability to sing high notes pianissimo as well as forte, the former the greater feat. Great album. Absolute magic.
