Average Rating: Rating: - After all these years...still loving Linda Eder's music. After much anticipation, I finally got this "10 Star worthy" CD in my hands today. I put the CD player on repeat because I am insatiable when it comes to Linda's music. To say that "Broadway My Way" is by far the greatest CD Linda Eder has produced to date, would be unfair to Linda and everyone else who has worked with her for the past 13 years. Yes, I am prejudiced but all Linda's music is "The Best". Opening with "I Am What I Am" just gives you a taste of what you are in for with the rest of the album. "Some People" is extraordinary (a song I never liked until now). "On The Street Where You Live" and "I'll Be Seeing You" warmed my heart and took me to a place in my mind that I haven't visited for a very long time. I can't pick a favorite due to the exceptional arrangement, orchestration and delivery of each song. Edelweiss, A New Life, Unusual Way...I love them all and I am very grateful to Linda for giving her fans another album just one year from her last release (Gold--2002). Being a part of the audience at Linda's third sell-out performance at Carnegie Hall on 2/19/03 is a dream come true for my daughter and I. Linda never disappoints. You will be ever so grateful that you purchased this album. God Bless You Linda! We Love You! Please keep the music coming! Now, I must get tickets to every Linda Eder concert I can possibly attend. One or two or TEN is just NOT enough! Rating: - Eder Goes Beyond Wildhorn and Shines Linda Eder's new CD is a fabulous trip through the Great White Way. Favorite tracks: Edelweiss and subtle and beautifully sung, I Am What I Am is full of power and emotion, Some People is technically perfect, and The Impossible Dream may be the best version ever recorded. It's just magnificent. Also don't miss two beautiful songs that have become standards in Linda's concerts: What Kind of Fool and Don't Rain on My Parade. The CD is what lots of fans have been waiting for: a move beyond the writings of her husband Frank Wildhorn. And the result is the quintessential Broadway CD. Perfect. Rating: - WOW, A MUST HAVE FOR LINDA FANS! When I preordered this cd a few weeks ago, I was not sure what to expect. I have been waiting for Linda to put out a cd singing Broadway songs, and was very excited when I saw this cd. I hesitated when I looked at the song list, seeing as I did not recognize a few of the song. Today, when I opened the box and put the cd in the player I was very pleasantly surprised. I fully recomend this cd for true Linda Eder fans. Most of the songs she chose were songs written for men, but she makes them her own. The Impossible Dream turns into a beautiful ballad and Man of la Mancha is as beautiful as ever. The one thing I really loved about it, was how she re-recorded all her previous songs (Man of la Mancha, Gold, A New Life) Her new recording of Gold is so much better than on her last album! Linda shows the true beauty in her voice by choosing songs that show the power that is Linda Eder's style. This cd is a true gem and belongs in any Linda Eder collection you may have!
