Average Rating: Rating: - simply superb In an age of multi-tools and digital special effects, it's great to find a tool that fulfills its primary mission without a user manual, and that holds up to hard knocks. This starter set (a 48" and a 16" spirit level) lets you start right with levels that won't lie to you and don't pretend to be something they're not. They are sturdy, easy to read, accurate and you'll not be replacing them in this lifetime unless you loan them out... Rating: - Get what you pay for. I had been wanting the Stabila 48" level for some time now, but put it off because of the price. I know that German quality does not come cheap, so I was just waiting for the right time. When the set (including the 16" level) went on sale for the same price as the 48" alone, I knew now was the time. When I received them and inspected the superb quality and machining, I was convinced that I had purchased what is most likely the finest level made. Having many cheap and inferior levels in the past (and wondering how much trust to have in them), I feel that I have an instrument that I can rely on for many years of accuracy. This 48" level is absolutely essential for the pro, but I didn't think I would use the 16", but hey it was free. As it turns out, I use the 16" as much as the 48". Comes in handy in tight places, steps, counter tops, shelves, window openings and even setting up appliances. This set is fantastic, priced the same as most places sell just the 48" alone. great deal on great levels.
