I am a carpenter of 20 years and I wish this tool had been around for more of those years, it would have saved so much money just in replacing cordless drills.prior to owning this tool I would try to adapt to some of the holsters sold today, but this was very difficult because I am left handed and they dont work for us, not to mention that they do drop drills when climbing off ladders or scaffolding.Since buying a bigg lugg I have yet to drop a drill, Thats pretty amazing if you consider that prior to owning the bigg lugg on an average I would replace drills broken in falls from scaffolds and ladders about every 7-9 months...WOW. This piece of equipment has improved my production while framing walls and soffits about 60% simply due to the fact that i dont have to reach for my drill or bend over to set it down between the times of using it.My areas of expertise are fancy cielings and soffits, Ive built everything, to include much of Hollywood BL, Universal Studios FL,and this is one of the best tools I've ever bought, as a matter of fact...today I am ordering 10 so that i will never be caught without one. Rating: - Practically amazing I had my doubts when I first bought the Bigg Lugg, and I'm happy to say I was dead wrong. The Bigg Lugg will hook onto any tool belt (or regular, old belt) and can be used for a wide assortment of tools. The obvious use is for carrying a cordless drill. I'm surprised to say that my Porter-Cable 14.4 sits perfectly, and does not slip, slide, spin, nor fall out unless I take it off the hook. Pneumatic nailers can also be hooked on, making it easy to get up and down a ladder without needing much help to get your tools where you need them. (If using this for nailers, be careful of where the trigger is, though.) 5 stars to Bigg Lugg for it's simple design, effective use, and reasonable price. I recommend it for anyone who has a tool belt they can't part with, but need to hold just ONE more thing! Rating: - BIGG LUG TOOL HOLDER I've been using the tool holder for about 6 months now. Mainly because I'm a lefty, and finding left hand holsters is sometimes a problem. This tool holder works on the left or right side of any tool belt. I like that its compact and light weight and works well with certian tool belt set ups. Where there isn't room for a standard drill holster do to alot of nail pouches. Its easy to access and freely puts the drill in your hand. The 4 problems I have with it. 1) It catches on everything when a tool is not in it. The design shape is a hook. And that is exactly what it does! On everything in its path. Even when folded to side. 2) Once hooked it bends out of shape. Easy to fix but a constant problem reshaping it. 3) The tool dangles free, allowing drill bits or screw tips to do damage. Where standard drill holsters hold the drill close to your side. 4) The tool comes out of the holder at times. Climing ladders, bending over, running etc. Damaging drill bits and tips as well as the home owners floors. I will continue to use it but being mindfull of the home owners property and my surroundings at all times with tool holder. But dont think I would buy another. Also a little price for what it is, a hook with a belt clip. Perhapes some of the problems could be fix by the manufacture but would probably be more trouble to use then.
