Average Rating: Rating: - aquarium 2 This new Ocean Wonder Aquarium is OK but nowhere as good as the original Peaceful Planet Aquarium. My 1 1/2 yr old still use his Peaceful Planet Aquarium (he LOVES it)so I wanted to buy another one for our new baby and when I saw the bigger Ocean Wonder Aquarium I thought great!!! But even though it has the fish & bubbles like peaceful did, the Ocean Wonder doesn't have the dancing waves on the ceiling and when you turn the music off & the bubbles on the motor has a Very noticeable sound, might not be very peaceful to some babies, where peaceful WAS peaceful. My 4 month old will watch the Wonder fish but doesn't seem as entertain as he is with the Peaceful Planet one. Rating: - Has worked for our baby since birth Our six-week old daughter loves this toy, and has enjoyed it since birth. We turn it on every night to sooth her to sleep, and it has helped her learn to sleep in her crib since she was less than a week old. The music is soothing and not cloying, and there are various music options if one tune becomes tiresome. The only reason I did not give this product a 5 is that the music and lights only last for 5 minutes. This means that I have to go back into the nursery every 5 minutes and turn it back on until she falls asleep (at least until she is old enough to push the button to turn it on herself). A number of reviewers complained about the loud motor noise. There is definitely a motor noise from this product, but I think it merely provides "white noise" that does not detract from the soothing nature of the music and lights display. The only other comment I have is that there is a little bit of condensation inside the aquarium, but not enough to obstruct the view of the fish. Rating: - My daughter likes this better than I do!! I just bought this product last night because 3 days ago her PP version died . . . after not sleeping for 2 nights I bit the bullet and decided to buy her a new one . . . even though she's going to be a year old very soon (glad to see older children are attached to this product too!). I have to agree with everyone else . . . I'm very disappointed that the lights do not reflect up to the ceiling, the motor's loud, the bubbles are just not what the PP was and the music's a little funky!! BUT that being said, my daughter was thrilled when I put her to bed last night and her "fishies" were back . . . I think she likes she can activate the the music and can play with the clam and starfish . . . but most importantly after she checked it over, she layed down and went to sleep. So although I don't like it as much as the PP version, I still have the desired effect. If Fisher Price would redesign it so it reflected on the ceiling, made the motor quieter and restored the original sounds it would be GREAT!
