Whether your child is already a literary and writing wiz at home and school, or if he or she is finding it frustrating trying these skills, this is perfect. The child who is already doing well with reading and creative writing will enjoy this, no doubt. The child who is struggling will find this to be a fun and engaging project. When they see the end result, it can't help but encourage them just how fabulous reading and writing can be! Even if they have to dictate the story to you, when they see their ideas in print and their photos and art there as well, it could well be a turning point for that child. My son had tons of toys...this was a perfect gift idea. We bought two of them. One story is never enough! Rating: - Excellent I bought this for my seven year old niece for her birthday. She opened the gift on her way home from her birthday party and proceeded to write her life story immediately...in the car... She absolutely loved it! I was impressed that things like this exist. Rating: - OUR FAMILY LOVED IT I wrote 3 poems for my 2 children and I had them draw pictures that were appropriate to each page. They colored the pictures. I enclosed I photo of the three of us. They had a ball helping my put it together. But the fun came when we got it back in the mail. We were amazed at how wonderful it looked. My 6 year old wanted to show his friends at school. My 4 year old slept with it. They loved seeing their drawings, mommy's poems and their picture in a real book! It is a great family project!
