Average Rating: Rating: - Same experience in San Diego I did the same thing that the lady in the previous review (Karen in St. Louis, MO) had done! Bought this for my 6 yr. old daughter for last years Christmas, went to set it up... very little response from the dog with neither the voice activation nor the remote control. Checked and changed batteries... still, nothing. This was a real expensive (last year's price wasn't on sale) dud gift! Geez, thanks, Santa. This year she's still hoping to get a voice activated, "trick" performing dog that has a little kennel or doghouse with it. Any ideas out there??? Rating: - Similar Item I actually bought the Bow Wow Beagle for my niece, not the poodle, as a Christmas gift. It was a huge success We have a real beagle puppy and even she was curious about this new moving creature. It was lots of fun for the kids to use, the remote control is great, it has big buttons and easy commands and the dog actually does what it's told to do. It was a hit and a really good deal. Rating: - This dog does not listen I bought this dog for my 6 year old daughter last year at Christmas. I thought this would be a better toy than those remote dogs on a wire. It promised to do all sorts of things, with voice control and a remote. When we opened it-once we got into the package-we put the batteries in and tried to program it. I knew the voice command would have to be said exactly the same way every time, so I did not have much hopes for that working anyway, which it definately did not. I had hoped the wireless remote would be the way to control this dog, it was very unreliable, worked only part of the time, and didn't even work when we held it right up to its collar. Thinking it could have been the brand new batteries we put in him, I went out the next day, bought another set of brand new batteries and had exactly the same result. This puppy went back to the pound. Save yourself frustration and your childs' dissapointment, pass this one by.
